We recognise that personal relationships and social environment play a central role in a person’s life, especially if they have dementia. Hence, our carers are trained to be sensitive with a focus on promoting the well-being of our clients. We are supportive in making a person with dementia feel valued and included whilst understanding how they might think and how this affects their behaviour.
We appreciate that each person is unique, with their own story, likes and dislikes. Our focus is on how they feel, not what they can remember. We aim to maximise what they have and not dwell on what they have lost.
